Ho Lain Post-Primary School

Build a School in Burma constructed a new building to expand this primary school to a post-primary school (adding grades 5 - 7) in Ho Lain village, about 2 ½ hours drive from Lashio in Northern Shan State. The villagers are mostly Shan Buddhists. The school will serve Ho Lain and two other nearby villages.

BSB’s partner for Ho Lain School project is the Northern Shan States Union Baptist Association (NSSUBA), which worked with BSB on two previous projects. The new building was made possible by generous donations of Boomerang, a California based technology company. NSSUBA contributed two latrines.

Construction began in late 2019 and was completed in March 2020.  The new building includes three classrooms, a solar lighting system, and ceiling-high movable partitions.  A gravity flow water storage system provides water for the school and the village.
